Whether we pass laws to ensure that all students learn about the arts, fitness, computer programming, cooking, woodworking, and so on, or create schools where students are truly encouraged to try as many areas as interest them, and continue to engage them even as they master the CCSS, we need to make sure that dancers know they are dancers, inventors know they like to tinker, writers find their voice, budding pediatricians know there is a soft side to sciences, and so on.
